This New Moon—also a Black Moon, the second New Moon of the month—is a powerful time to set intentions for a fresh start. It’s a chance to reflect on the year behind us and focus on the energy we want to create moving forward.
At the salon, our theme for 2025 is “Unity Through Community.” We are dedicated to fostering connection, empowerment, and a sense of belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.
New Moon Ritual: Setting Intentions for the Year Ahead

As we step into 2025, we are filled with gratitude for every one of you. This New Moon—also a Black Moon, the second New Moon of the month—is a powerful time to set intentions for a fresh start. It’s a chance to reflect on the year behind us and focus on the energy we want to create moving forward.
Our salon theme for 2025 is “Unity Through Community.” We are dedicated to fostering connection, empowerment, and a sense of belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.
New Moon Ritual: Setting Intentions for the Year Ahead
Here’s a simple, fun ritual to help you harness the energy of this special New Moon:
1. Find Your Space:
Light a candle, ask your guides/angels/god/ancestors/universe/infinite source, or whatever you choose to call it, for protection, and grab a journal or a piece of paper. Create a cozy, quiet space where you can focus and let your thoughts flow.
2. Reflect and Release:
Write down one thing you’re ready to leave behind in 2024—something that no longer serves you.
Say out loud: “I release this with love to make space for what truly aligns with me.”
3. Set Your Intentions:
Write 3–5 intentions for 2025. These can be about love, health, community, abundance, or anything your heart desires.
Example: “I welcome joy and connection into my life. I focus my energy on creating health and wealth with ease.”
4. Seal It With Gratitude:
Hold your list close to your heart, take a deep breath, and say:
“Thank you for the blessings already on their way. I trust in the magic of new beginnings.”
5. Optional Action:
Keep your list somewhere safe, or burn it (outside) as a symbolic release to the universe.
6. Align Your Actions:
Over the next few days, carry your intentions with you. Before taking any action, pause and ask yourself:
“Is this action in alignment with my intentions?”
This step is the most important—it ensures your daily choices reflect the life you’re creating. Intentions turn into reality when aligned with thoughtful, intentional actions.
As you move through these steps, remember that you are loved, and the universe supports you in creating a beautiful, abundant 2025.
